I wanted you to know how much I appreciate the professionalism and good counsel you provided me during your coaching sessions. Many of the issues we discussed continue to help me with not only a clear path toward my true callings, but in my relationships with family, friends, and others in my life. The “Calling Cards” program is a fun way to really hone in on those personal passions which are truly me, then look at careers I can get involved in to more likely make money doing what I really love to do.

Your focus and professional approach really came alive on several occasions as you worked to keep me on task with identifying and removing those ball and chain inherited self-purposes and helping me find the courage to explore my callings, then take action accordingly. You dealt in specifics throughout providing me with real people, organizations, web sites, and phone numbers to augment my quest toward career choices that reflect my passions and talents.

After finishing my “Beginning Workshop” in voiceover for commercials, acting, and narratives; I got rave reviews and was invited to go to an audition for a documentary; very rare to get an opportunity that soon. I made some rookie mistakes and didn’t get the job, but I’m certain I can add this career to my life. Currently I’m in a second class, “Simply Acting”, which I’m enjoying immensely. As soon as this Thursday class is over; I’m joining the Toastmasters Club in Pleasant Hill. I’ve turned one speech into a short story and am working on another one, “West Without the Covered Wagon.” Even the idea of being involved in “sales” has some appeal, but with really strict personal guidelines on product, people, and territory. —RC

From our first meeting Kate told me this was “not therapy” however her coaching had a therapeutic effect on me. After being laid off it was easy to feel isolated, insecure or desperate to take any job with anyone who wanted me. I was underestimating my worth and looking for safety by applying for positions that I knew I could get.

Since working with Kate I have bigger plans for myself and a confidence that I can accomplish what I dream of. I have also learned the difference between just wishing and believing in my own ability to reach my goals. I am now clear on the work I wish to do and what I am worth.

This change in me occurred because of my work with Kate and her weekly assignments.

First of all she “taught me to fish” and showed me how to listen to my own guidance. I became more attuned to my inner wisdom; less likely to need other’s approval.

Next, Kate worked with me to clarify my real gifts and passions. With her coaching I could see what I loved doing and what I would do “even if no one paid me to do it.” Then Kate reminded me of just how valuable my skills and experience were.

Lastly she helped me to set goals, encouraged me to stay focused on my progress, build on my successes and then reach further. What an exhilarating feeling to take those steps and look to see Kate holding the ladder!

Kate helped me to gain clarity and confidence. She held me “to task” and made me laugh too. Her intelligence, vision and humor were just what I needed to get things moving in my life. I still have work to do but I feel a weight has lifted and I am up to the task!
